Do you know this word? Nomophobia is a term that was coined fairly recently to describe a growing fear in today’s world—the fear of being without a mobile device, or beyond mobile phone contact.

My distressing experience in the morning

More than once, I got up in the morning or I was ready to go out and noticed the battery on my iPhone Xs Max was getting low. That red icon made me feel panicked, annoyed and caused “nomophobia.”

I immediately charged my phone, hoping to recharge it as much as possible during the breakfast time. But always disappointing, the original charger was charging slow, and the battery percentage increased just a little bit. Feel like it will take forever to charge to 100%.

I couldn’t wait for the battery to reach half charge or more, because I would be late for work. So I had to go with my bulky power bank. It’s obviously a burden of commuting. I hate that.
